Happy Community Planning Month!

October is National Community Planning Month! To start off, let’s check out the current APA Great Places in Minnesota.

Artery Hopkins: Hopkins

A pedestrian and bike friendly connection between historic Downtown Hopkins and the planned light rail transit station on Excelsior Boulevard.

The Grand Rounds: Minneapolis

The nation’s only urban-based National Scenic Byway!

Kenwood: Minneapolis

Kenwood Neighborhood, featuring Kenwood Parkway and Kenwood Park. (Home of the Mary Tyler Moore House)

Seward: Minneapolis

Another neighborhood in Minneapolis, Seward also features parts of the Grand Rounds Scenic Byway.

Rice Park: St. Paul

My personal favorite: Rice Park in St. Paul. The park was initially used to graze livestock!
