Industrial and Demo Waste

Have you ever wondered what happens to demolition and industrial waste? The company StoneCycling from Amsterdam has found a solution for all that waste. Patented under the WasteBasedBricks, they create bricks made from at least 60% waste. The bricks are made from materials such as toilet bowls, roof tiles and steel. The bricks range in color, as the color is representative of what the bricks are made from.

The West, designed by Dutch architects Concrete, in New York City is the first development in the United States to use these bricks. If you go to the website, you’ll see that the brickwork doesn’t look any different from other buildings.
